Large Pearlware Loving Cup

A large, two handled loving cup dedicated to 'The Good Hope Society' 1793. The masked spout is particularly impressive as is the painting on the reverse showing a sailors wife leaning on an anchor. On a stepped base and extremely well decorated.

Circa 1793

Approx - (225mm) tall.

In good condition save minor, typical paint losses with nibbles to rim and base. Some professional restoration work on body, carried out to a very high standard.
